PAWS of Bremerton was established in 1975 to provide financial assistance to low-income residents of Kitsap Co. seeking veterinary services for their companion pets. Our volunteer-operated organization maintains a cat adoption and rescue center in our office in East Bremerton. Direct donations are accepted at our office by cash, check, or supplies and credit donations at pawsofbremerton.org.
In 2024, PAWS of Bremerton:
* Adopted out more than 120 cats and kittens.
* Provided medical aid to more than 200 pets of low income owners.
* Spayed or neutered more than 430 cats and kittens. Last year alone our efforts prevented the unplanned births of over 400,000 kittens.
PAWS of Bremerton works to prevent pet overpopulation through spay/neuter assistance. We help find new loving homes for cats through our home-style adoption center where cats can live comfortably while waiting for their new families.
We offer limited medical aid through local veterinary services for low-income, unemployed, and active military pet owners. We supply Advantage topical flea medication at reduced cost or even free to those with greatest need.
Before we adopt out a cat or kitten into a loving home, PAWS of Bremerton ensures that the animal has been spayed/neutered and has received at least one round of vaccinations.
For cats/kittens awaiting adoption, we provide safe, warm housing, food, and litter. We offer financial assistance for vet care to low income Kitsap County residents. We also provide Advantage flea medication at reduced cost.

* $85 provides vaccinations and sterilization (spay or neuter) for one cat/kitten.
* $35 provides a bag of high quality adult cat dry food.
* $20+ provides a case of high quality wet cat food.
* $20 covers a 28lb box of cat litter.
* $2 (cat or small dog) - $15 (large dog) covers the cost of Advantage for a low income pet owner.
