Needs
From robotics kits to art supplies, field trips to hands-on science labs, the North Kitsap Schools Foundation funds the extras that make learning exciting for kids. We bridge budget gaps, spark innovation and solicit community partners to invest in our schools.
Thanks to our generous community of donors, we awarded over $92,000 in classroom grants in 2022-23. To keep it going, our goal is to raise $15,000 during the 2023 Kitsap Great Give. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and your gift goes directly into NK classrooms.
Here are some examples of what your donation can purchase:
$28 calms and focuses an elementary student with a weighted blanket
$35 provides a rainsuit so a developmental preschooler can play outside on rainy days
$58 inspires a Pearson Elementary music student with a ukulele
$100 provides a trampoline to help a Poulsbo Elementary student regulate energy and improve focus
$120 purchases a 10-volume Manga book series to encourage reluctant readers at Poulsbo Middle School
$190 funds programmable robots for budding engineers at Wolfle Elementary
$244 provides LEGOs and related physics activities for a Special Education classroom
$595 funds a sensor and cart for middle school experiments with force and motion
Thank you for supporting the NK Schools Foundation for the last 20 years as we have provided more than $680,000 in grants to our community schools.
