Mission

The mission of Kitsap History Museum is to connect our community with each story!

Description

For over 75 years, the Kitsap History Museum has been sharing Kitsap County's vibrant tales and treasures. Nestled in the heart of Downtown Bremerton, our museum invites you to step into history through immersive exhibits that bring our past to life.

But our mission goes beyond mere preservation. We're storytellers and the bridge between generations and communities. With tens of thousands of artifacts and photographs meticulously stored in climate-controlled museum, we're safeguarding our heritage for the generations yet to come.

Now, as we embark on an ambitious expansion journey, we're not just building a museum—we're creating a hub of inclusive learning and immersive experiences. From innovative programs to engaging events, we're shaping a space where everyone feels welcomed and inspired to explore the rich tapestry of Kitsap's history.

But we can't do it alone. We need your support to ensure the success of this expansion, to secure the future of our museum for another 75 years of storytelling and discovery.

Join us in preserving and sharing the stories that define Kitsap County, providing the context for today and the understanding to navigate tomorrow's challenges. Together, through history, we're making a difference—one story at a time.

Needs

Help us share the stories that make our county a great place to live.

We have a historic building in Downtown Bremerton that houses our permanent exhibits and vast collection of artifacts.  Your donations help us maintain a historic building and a climate controlled environment.

We have a handful of extremely dedicated staff members.  Your donations enable us to continue to compensate them for their extraordinarily hard work.

We are always refreshing exhibits.  Your donations enable us to continue to exhibit new items every month.

We always have free admission to the museum and put on many free educational programs throughout the year.  Your donations enable us to keep these resources and programs open to those who might otherwise not be able to attend.

Recognition

From one history lover to another, thank you for your generous donation! We are overjoyed by your support, and honored to have you in our donor family. Your gift makes a big difference to all of us here at Kitsap History Museum and the public we serve.

Your generosity and commitment to preserving and sharing Kitsap County history is what allows this important work to continue. We couldn't do this without you!

With gratitude,

The entire team at Kitsap History Museum!
