Mission

Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County believes everyone deserves a decent place to call home and brings people together to volunteer alongside Habitat families in Kitsap County to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

Description

Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County partners with people in your community who are living in inadequate housing and who are unable to secure adequate housing by conventional means. Habitat helps them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families. Habitat selects homeowners based on their need for adequate shelter; their ability to pay for the Habitat home; and their willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity. Habitat does not discriminate in the selection of homeowner-partners on the basis of race, creed, gender, disability, ethnic background, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Mission

Helping families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. Through shelter we empower!

Needs

Housing is more urgent than ever! With rising rent, over 10% of the population is housing insecure and struggles to pay rent and basic needs. As rents grow, homelessness increases. The need for decent and affordable housing in Kitsap County is tremendous. Your support will help build three more homes for low-income Kitsap families this year and create a better community for everyone.
