Founded in 1984 by Scottish Rite Masons, Early Life Speech & Language helps young children to become effective communicators. Our mission is to provide intensive speech and language therapy services for children struggling with speech and language delays, at no cost to families.  Left untreated, kids with speech and/or language delays are at an increased risk of falling behind developmentally, academically and socially.

In 2019, the Early Life Speech & Language- Bremerton Clinic started providing services to children in Kitsap County, with the first free standing speech therapy clinic within the city limits. ELS&L-Bremerton is providing speech and language services to children, aged 2-7 years old, at no cost, breaking systematic and economic barriers allowing children full access to speech/language therapy to improve their speech, language and literacy skills.

Mission

Early Life Speech & Language provides intensive speech therapy for children age 2-7, at no cost to families.

Needs

Access to essential healthcare services, including speech and language therapy, is a growing challenge for families in Kitsap County. Our community ranks among the worst in the state for healthcare accessibility, with a severe shortage of providers who accept Medicaid. Many private practices are shifting to private-pay models due to low insurance reimbursement rates, leaving families with limited or no options for critical speech therapy services.

At Early Life Speech & Language, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to communicate, regardless of their family's financial situation. Our program provides free, research-based, and family-centered speech therapy to children ages 2-7 with communication delays—ensuring that cost is never a barrier to care.

Your support helps us continue offering life-changing therapy to children who would otherwise go without services. By funding additional therapy hours, clinician salaries, and essential program resources, you help ensure that every child in need has access to high-quality speech and language intervention.

Together, we can bridge the gap in care and give every child the voice they deserve. Donate today to make a lasting impact!
