WHO WE ARE:
Rewild Refuge Sanctuary (RRS), located in Kingston, WA is a vegan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and giving a forever home to abandoned, abused, neglected and slaughter-bound animals. Our mission is to offer these animals a second chance at life—one filled with compassion, dignity, and the care they deserve!
OUR STORY:
As a newer, grassroots sanctuary, we have poured our hearts into building a safe haven from the ground up. Every day, we care for animals who have been neglected, abandoned, or forgotten, giving them a second chance at life. Founded in 2022, Rewild Refuge was founded on the belief that every animal deserves safety, dignity, and a chance to heal. In just two years, we have built a haven for animals who were abandoned, neglected, or headed for slaughter—offering them not just survival, but a life filled with love, care, and the freedom to simply be. But rescue doesn’t stop at saving lives; it takes ongoing commitment, resources, and a community that believes in this mission.
Right now, we are at a critical point. The demand for sanctuary is greater than ever, and while our hearts are limitless, our resources are not. With rising costs, for this years Kitsap Great Give, we need your help to raise $15,000 to cover essential operational costs, including veterinary care, feed, and shelter, so we can continue providing for the animals who call Rewild Refuge home—and open our gates to those still waiting for a second chance.
But Rewild Refuge isn’t just a safe haven for animals—it’s a place of healing for our community, too! In 2025, we’re expanding into Animal-Assisted Coaching programs for Kitsap County, offering a space where people can reconnect with nature, themselves, and the powerful healing presence of rescued animals!

During this year's Great Give, we are asking for donations to help us cover feed and veterinary care for our residents. We are projecting an annual cost of over $75,000 for 2025 due to rising costs! We have seen a steady increase in the last three years. We hope you will help us provide the best care possible for our residents!
