WHO WE ARE

Lutheran Community Services Northwest partners with individuals, families and communities for health, justice and hope.

OUR WORK WITH REFUGEES

For over 50 years, LCSNW has been providing life-changing services to refugees, immigrants and others seeking safety in Washington.

Whether a newly arrived refugee or an immigrant seeking legal services, we know newcomers need connection and support as they rebuild their lives in Washington. Lutheran Community Services Northwest provides culturally specific, wraparound services to those on the journey to a new home.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Every dollar counts for refugees rebuilding their lives.

  • $25 provides a warm meal for a newly arrived refugee family

  • $100 covers a "restart kit" filled with home essentials for refugee newcomers

  • $150 provides a mattress, bedframe, pillows, and bedding for a refugee family

WHY IT MATTERS

When Omran found LCSNW he battled physical and emotional pain. While evacuating his family from a political uprising in his home country, he was shot in the foot and received no follow-up care.

Upon arriving in the US, his family had no connections or support in this unfamiliar place they now called home.

LCSNW worked with Omran to gain rental assistance along with medical and mental healthcare. He has healed both mentally and physically.

With his improved health, Omran works and provides for his family, and his children play at the park with him after school. Now, Omran looks to the future.

Your donation makes an impact. Your support equips our clients, from newly arrived refugees to the local families that we serve, with the means and support to pull themselves and their loved ones through hard times. Thank you for walking with us to bring health, justice, and hope to our neighbors.
