ENOCH CITY ARTS- Inspiring our community through the performing arts!
WHY THEATER? Because people have been enacting stories in dramas and songs for millennia for a good reason- there’s no better way to captivate, illuminate, explain, and unite. Now in our third year, Enoch City Arts’ theatrical and educational programs have been using the power of performance to touch more people in the greater Bremerton area. Mindful of the traditions, we choose uplifting and thoughtful works that appeal to all ages. When the curtain comes down, we want people to have fresh ideas as well as big smiles.
WHY ENOCH CITY ARTS? Because we welcome all our Kitsap County neighbors to our East Bremerton location. Being part of a cast is being part of a team. We need everyone on the team because theater reflects life; we all have a part. On the stage or behind the curtains, we depend on each other and thereby create a community of friendship and belonging. And during a performance, the community expands to include the audience and magic is made!
WHAT DO WE DO? In addition to the 5 plays or musicals we annually stage, we offer acting and singing classes for both adults and kids; they can improve their skills and feel confident about getting up on stage. Our afterschool and summer camp drama classes for kids improve their public speaking skills as they get applause from their families and friends. In our music classes, people grow as they have fun. We share our performance spaces with those who need it and enable more magic. And we do it with an all-volunteer staff!
WHY HELP US? Because we want to offer the highest quality, most appropriate programming we can (while paying our bills.) This means licensing the popular and recent plays and musicals. It means offering stipends to our teachers to compensate them for the caring attention they give to our students. It means having the tools and materials we need to stage plays properly. Help us do all of this so we can give you the magic of the theater.
HOW CAN YOU HELP? A cash donation is always welcome, but there are in-kind opportunities, as well- see the Needs section of this page. You can volunteer; we have many opportunities for all types of skills. Become part of a team that’s staging a production, use your creative talents for posters and web design, greet audiences in the lobby, tell the community about Enoch City Arts. Ask us; we can find a place for you at Enoch City Arts. And however you help, you know you are continuing the human tradition of presenting stories and songs to uplift your community.

Mission
Enoch City Arts inspires the community through fine and performing arts. We produce and promote uplifting entertainment and fine arts learning opportunities for the benefit of our audiences, students, and artists. This includes production and exhibition of drama, music, dance, visual, literary, and other art, as well as classes related to the development of these skills.
Needs
As an active space for community involvement in the performing arts, we have the following needs:
> Hospitality items and paper products for our facilities- It’s not bright stage and bright lights glamour, but we really appreciate it!
> Piano tuning for our 4 pianos- Our singers need an in-key song in their hearts!
> Full length wall mirrors- So we can see that we’re lookin’ good….
> Installation of 220 electrical service for a clothes dryer- To keep the costumes fresh and ready for play!
