Bainbridge Boys Lacrosse

The Boys Lacrosse program on Bainbridge Island, formed in 1987, was one of the first teams in the Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association. Bainbridge Boys Lacrosse is proud of our winning record but even more proud of the character and integrity of the athletes who have played on our teams. Over the years our players have received numerous accolades both on and off the field including several national All-American recipients, and the program especially values the dedication and achievement of our Academic All-American honorees.

The program emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and honoring the game. Lacrosse, the oldest sport in North America, has deep roots in Native American culture. Known as the fastest sport on two feet, it blends the speed and strategy of basketball, the physicality of hockey, and the endurance of soccer. Its unique combination of agility, endurance, and physicality makes it a dynamic game, requiring athletes to be not only skilled with their sticks but also quick on their feet. The game demands teamwork, speed, and precision, with athletes seamlessly transitioning between offense and defense. Lacrosse is a thrilling, action-packed sport that celebrates both individual skill and team collaboration. 

This amazing sport is not state-funded within the school district, so our club is 100% responsible for covering all associated costs to run a K-12th grade program. Bainbridge Boys Lacrosse operates as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, managed by a volunteer board. In addition to registration fees, fundraising is critical each year to cover expenses such as field rentals, equipment, referees, coaches, and scholarships, ensuring that the sport remains accessible to local youth.

We are grateful for the ongoing support from our local businesses and player families. Their commitment has always been invaluable to our program. We deeply appreciate the dedication of our members and the broader community.
