Patients of Peninsula Community Health Services (PCHS) come from all walks of life. Our medical and dental services are available to PCHS patients regardless of ability to pay. PCHS accepts new patients and accepts all insurance plans. We have a sliding fee discount program for private-pay patients. Our mission is to provide accessible, affordable, compassionate, quality health care services for our communities. Our vision is to see and value every person who comes through our doors. PCHS is continually working to meet the growing needs of our community. On April 12th we opened our first clinic in Mason County, offering primary medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services under one roof in Belfair. In May 2017 we're expanding to Kingston with a medical clinic to bring primary medical care to an underserved corner of Kitsap county. We provide the community with skilled health care professionals who work together for the betterment of our patients' overall health. PCHS is a certified Patient Centered Medical Home and an accredited federally qualified community health center. PCHS is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.
In response to community need, PCHS implemented a new program to help those with chemical and substance abuse issues access treatment for those concerns. One of our first clients in the program was a 40-something-year-old woman with alcohol abuse issues who moved to this area to escape an abusive relationship. One of our Certified Navigators assisted her with signing up for the Washington Apple Health insurance plan after which she was seen by one of our primary care practitioners (PCP) for anxiety and depression. Her PCP referred her to our Chemical Dependency Coordinator who was able to assist with obtaining transitional housing and getting help through one of our community treatment counseling partners. She will be getting permanent housing soon and is excited for this new start in her life.
Your donation to PCHS through this online opportunity will help those who are experiencing a gap in their health insurance coverage and those who have no insurance at all to obtain medical and/or dental services at PCHS; your gift will touch the lives of children and their parents through PCHS participation in Reach Out and Read, a national program providing age appropriate books at a child'(tm)s medical and/or dental exam; and through Willow's Fund, your gift will help the Kitsap homeless to access needed health care. Funding through the Kitsap Great Give is applied directly towards patient care and not applied to our overhead or operating expenses. Together we can create a healthier community. Thank you. #WeArePCHS
