Faith In Action supports independent living for our senior and disabled neighbors.
In 2016 Faith In Action was able to able to contribute $172,000 in financial assistance and goods to seniors, the disabled and other helping organizations .Chris and Dottie are your senior and disabled neighbors. They have been married for over 47 years and have raised 4 children. The couple lives on a social security benefits and because of this limited income from time to time has a necessary living expense that is not covered in their budget. Since 2013 Faith In Action has been able to come along side this family and help with rides to and from the doctor, help with medication costs and gas vouchers. The HUB Center for Seniors has also served as a social outlet for them where they are able to attend some of the over 863 activities that took place in 2016. Recently the Native American father in the family become ill and needed a care taker. Faith In Action was able to provide rides to Olympia for the daughter to go and receive her certification so that she may caretaker for her father. The family appreciates the rides, the support financially when needed but most of all they love the organization that has worked so closely in their lives to help a neighbor in need.
