A nonprofit art gallery founded in 1948, Bainbridge Arts & Crafts provides access and connection to the visual arts in the Puget Sound Region. By exhibiting and selling fine contemporary art, BAC creates vital opportunities for hardworking professional Northwest artists. By providing scholarships, grants, and completely free art education and outreach, we serve students, teachers, seniors, and the healthcare community through the visual arts.
Last year Bainbridge Arts & Crafts installed 22 special exhibitions, welcomed 39,000 visitors, and provided art education to 130 people per month. But statistics don’t tell our story. As a community art gallery, Bainbridge Arts & Crafts provides a nurturing sales environment to hardworking Northwest artists at all stages of their careers. We consistently delight the Kitsap community by bringing new works of visual art to light. And we provide visual art learning opportunities to people of all ages and abilities, always free of charge. Programs include monthly artist talks and demonstrations, socially engaging and therapeutic art activities in area retirement and medical centers, grants to local art teachers, and scholarship and exhibition opportunities for K-12 students.
Bainbridge Arts & Crafts derives just a portion of our annual income from the sale of art. Contributions received through the Kitsap Great Give will help us maintain our vibrant, diverse exhibition program and enable us to continue providing visual art education and outreach to people of all ages and abilities on Bainbridge Island and in Kitsap County. Thank you for your support!
